Racing season 2006-2011

Also for the 2006 season Paolo Ferrari, with his Lucini and Frigerio Alfa Romeo 2000 Twin Spark racing inboard, confirms himself as the winner of the Italian endurance title in the Racer 2000 cc class. The Italian endurance championship, however, is short-lived: in 2007 the Italian Powerboating Federation bans it from the calendar of national titled races.

In the following five years the Racer 2000 cc category (the only class of national inboard racing) is admitted only to the only 2 remaining long-distance races: the Raid Pavia-Venezia and the Cremona-Borgoforte.
After the 5 overall victories of Dino Zantelli at the Cremona-Borgoforte with the F1 racing outboard in 2010, the sixth edition of this race (Zantelli absent) sees the pleasant return of a racer to victory thanks to Paolo Ferrari who precedes another 2000 racer of Umberto Ruffini. Unfortunately the fate of these two classic cross-country races seems sealed: the Cremona-Borgoforte will be held until 2010, while the Raid Pavia-Venezia will be held until 2011 and the racer boats no longer have the glory of an overall victory.
After Fabio Buzzi's triumphs in 2002 and 2004, in fact, it is Dino Zantelli, always with his outboard, who is the "master" and who wins first place overall until the last raid in 2011.
