On the base measured in the stretch of Lake Como between Lecco and Mandello, the "flying" engineer Fabio Buzzi signs his umpteenth feat reaching the fantastic speed of 277.515 Km/h and shattering the previous record (252 Km/h) that had stood since 1992 set by Buzzi himself in the Diesel class. The prestigious record, after the ritual checks, was certified by the officials of the Guinness World Records.

For this feat, Buzzi uses a three-point boat forward-guided, designed and built in his shipyard, powered by a Diesel engine developed with FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies): a company of the CNH industrial group that supplies engines to the entire Fiat group with which Buzzi has collaborated since 1983 when it was still called Iveco.
This engine, named Cursor 16, was born from the synergy between FPT Industrial and FB Design, who transformed a "normal" diesel used in agricultural and construction applications and in generator sets into a marine engine with more than 1700 hp.
